I always find it so hard to list films as I have many I love equally, but this would be a good guide:

1. Solaris (1972 version)
2. Vertigo
3. Logan's Run
4. The Flight Of Dragons
5. Scaramouche (1952 version)
6. The Princess Bride
7. Harvy (1950 version)
8. Metropolis (1927, not anime)
9. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
10. The Name of the Rose

And to go with these here's my top 10 worst films:

1. Highlander: The Source (Highlander II, you have been redeemed)
2. Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
3. Clash of the Titans (2010 version)
4. Van Helsing (The only film I have watched half of and never got back to)
5. Alien Resurrection
6. Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
7. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
8. Sunshine (Such a good begining, such a terrible ending)
9. Disctrict 9
10 X-Men 3: The Last Stand (Went in hoping it wasn't the last, came out hoping it was)

I guess my Top 10 would be:

1. Jaws
2. Dracula (1931 - I never drink...................................................................................................wine)
3. Night of the Hunter (1955 and Robert Mitchum's finest hour)
4. The Godfather
5. Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs (1937 Disney version)
6. Pan's Labrynth
7. The Empire Strikes Back (Original theatrical release cos the Emperor looks awesome, they used an old woman and a chimp!)
8. The Wizard of Oz
9. Trading Places
10. Rocky

my top 10 laserdiscs however are slightly different as I weigh in quality (pic and sound), bonus stuff and the all important sleeve:

1. The Star Wars trilogy Special Edition boxset
2. A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
3. War of the Worlds (1953)
4. Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs
5. Rocky III
6. The Exorcist Special Edition
7. The Seventh Seal Collectors Edition
8. Jaws Signature boxset
9. The Halloween Tree
10. The Terminator

That's one big classic, I saw the complete in the theaters at Cinemateket (a Swedish film-club where they show older movies on "the big screen") and my mind was completely blown. I couldn't sleep that night and I had to stay home from school the next day, it really was amazing. Unfourtounly, it don't make it to my top ten-list but if it would make it to my top hundered.

I was so excited when they announced a couple of years ago that they had uncovered a pretty much complete version of Metropolis. I was hyped about it for about two years. Thankfully it got a limited cinematic run and my local independent cinema had a screening, it looked fantastic on the big screen and it was amazing to get to see it in pretty much its full glory at last.
